Writing Assignment
For this assignment, you’ll find a brand as you’ve done in previous assignments, that uses two social
media channels. This shouldn’t be too hard – brands are typically vocal about where you can find them
on social media. These can include any of the social media from the assignment or other platforms.

Section 1: Briefly introduce your brand. (10 pts)

Section 2 & 3: In each of these sections, you’ll detail how the brand uses a different
social medium. Depending on the medium, you’ll need to list the numbers involved
(images posted, likes/favorites, comments and interactions, and so on). Provide key
examples of the brand’s posts on each platform. (5 pts each; 10 pts total)

Section 4: How significantly do these two platforms factor into your brand’s social
media presence? Are they used appropriately, or do the posts seem more appropriate
for a different platform such as Facebook? How successfully do they add to its overall
identity? (10 pts)
Requirements

You must cite several sources to receive full credit. Cite them in text and in a works
cited page (use APA citation and reference style).

The length of the paper should be 3 – 5 double-spaced pages.

Use 12pt. Times New Roman font. Pages should have 1-inch margins all around. No
bold or italicized type should dominate the page.

Tabs should be no more than 1/4″.

Name your document using the following format:
“LastnameFirstname_Unit1Assignment”

Proofread and spell check your paper before turning it in. Be sure to watch out for
grammar and spelling errors. As writing is a critical skill, points will be deducted for
submissions that are poorly written and contain grammatical and spelling errors.
