Teacher negligence is a risk that needs to be taken seriously by all adults in the educational setting. It is critical that educational leaders consistently and correctly educate their staff and others responsible for the supervision and safety of students about the potential risks of negligence.
From the perspective of a principal or preschool administrator,

give one example of potential negligent teacher behavior in the classroom and the steps or policies that can be created to manage the risk; and
describe how you might share with a colleague or staff the legal duties educators have in order to maintain a reasonably safe learning environment.
