Many effective leaders may have attended a formal training program or workshop to improve and develop their leadership abilities. A self-assessment tool or experience that will provide feedback on participants’ leadership abilities and opportunities may be required as part of these formal opportunities (Marshall & Broome, 2017). We were kindly given the chance to evaluate our own leadership skills using the Clifton Strengths Finder assessment tool from Walden University (2018). I was astounded by how accurately the Gallup Strengths Finder Assessment (2018) captured my personality qualities. Every one of the strengths identified by the exam was a different manifestation of my propensities for behavior in social and professional settings. Even though I knew the findings were accurate right away, it was instructive to see how the traits were broken down so I could use them to my advantage in a leadership position. My top five themes are context, discipline, consistency, realtor, and empathy.

Context means the ability to look back because that is where the answers lie. Looking back enables me to understand the present, Discipline means that things need to be ordered and planned. These helps me to set up routines. I like to break long-term projects into a series of specific short-term plans, and you work through each plan diligently. Consistency involves balance and treating everyone the same because others function best when rules are clear and applied equally (Rath, 2007).  Relator describes my attitude toward my relationships. In simple terms, the Relator theme pulls me toward people I already know; these does not mean that I shy away from meeting new people. Being with people I already know makes me comfortable.

Based on my findings, I would like to emphasize the importance of consistency and empathy. I sometimes come across as a person who is stubborn because of how consistent I am, but the truth is that I treat everyone the same no matter who they are, and I thrive on routines, explicit rules, and processes. Since maintaining balance and making everyone feel included are vital to me, especially in a leadership role, I want to continue to enhance these two areas. Empathy is one of my strongest qualities as a leader. I can feel the feelings of others who are near you. I am able to feel the emotions of others around me as if they were my own. This theme naturally enables me to share their viewpoint and experience the world from their perspective with those I lead. I might not always concur with each person’s viewpoint.

Consistency and empathy are two of my strongest traits.

According to the strengthsFinder evaluation, context and discipline are the two traits and two strengths that I would like to develop. Context because the present only regains its stability when I think back to a previous moment when the plans were being created. The former era was less complicated. A
