Celebrate a NATION:
Students are assigned to focus on one Indigenous nation as an introduction to its culture, history and politics.
Students will research:
The current state of the Nation as contrasted to its former place of pre- eminence
Background of spiritual world view, statistics, facts, economic factors of that Nation
Economic/ employment situation of the population, with background on the major natural resources and industries of the country
The form of government currently and historically
The role of indigenous culture within the society- espial rituals and Traditions
STUDENTS can PRESENT THEIR CHOSEN INDIGENOUS NATION IN FORM OF A CLASS PRESENTATION or a WRITTEN PAPER (depends on available class time and student preference)
