Implicit Bias-MHC

Research on “implicit bias” suggests that people can act based on prejudice and stereotypes without intending to do so. Due to implicit biases, people may often attribute certain qualities or characteristics to all members of a particular group, a phenomenon known as stereotyping.

Students will recognize how implicit bias may be operating in the clinical setting and learning environment and apply strategies that can be used to minimize impact of implicit bias.
