The military made a tremendous impact on my life. It shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve been in the service for over 4 years now. My main reason for joining the service was the benefits. Aside from the benefits, it gave me a better understanding of what the “big picture” means. Over those years, I gained knowledge and experience that help me grow as a person. It gave me mentors, family, and lifetime friends. Having the opportunity to learn about cultures, ethnicities, and values that differ from our own. My experience and knowledge from the military are something I would love to share with others. The learning and growing process will never stop until my last breath.
